waking from a dream , i never knew that i had, falling to the ground, the ground

flowers go out like candles, spill all over the floor, wings of sunlight transform

when i tried to press the page, on a thing i wish to keep, i realize it's breathing, asleep in my hand

i want to find that place

waking from a dream, had many like it before, i wonder what it means, it takes different forms,

set in strange old houses, i find a secret floor, long ago abandoned, who was living there before?

frozen in the hallway with a sculpture in my hands, shining incandescent, it's titled the self

walking down a city street, i see a familiar face through a window, donna is her name

suddenly a force surrounds me, lifts me off my feet, i'm shooting skywards, above the trees,

i wake into another dream in my room in morning light
there's a window in the wall that wasn't there last night
frozen in the hallway with a sculpture in my hands
i want to find that place
